Entry

To register you must have a valid Warp Gammon name. New players can sign up here. Registration is then via the signup link for Excalibur on MyPage

You are expected to complete all of your matches. If you do not play all your matches, you may be excluded from future web-based WarpGammon Tournaments.

Unless specifically stated otherwise elsewhere in WarpGammon Tournament's rules, you may enter the tournament using only one player name.  If you enter more than once, you may be disqualified from the WarpGammon Tournament.

Format

Players will be seeded in Round 1. Opponents in the main bracket will play a best 2-of-3 15 point matches, (19 points in the final). Losers will enter the consolation bracket and play a best 2-of-3 11 pt matches (13 points in the final).

Each match will be reported individually until one player has 2 wins.

Each round will be 10 days duration. This may be varied slightly by the host to accommodate requests for extensions.

General Web-based Tournament Rules All rules pertaining to conduct of web-based tournaments will be as provided in the Warp Gammon Web-based Tournament rules.  Players should pay particular attention to policies regarding scheduling.  Players who do not make a sufficient effort to schedule and play matches risk disqualification and suspension.  Players who do not have enough time and flexibility to schedule and play 3 matches during each round at times convenient to opponents in all time zones are advised not to register.
Scheduling Standards

We expect players to have updated their scheduling details in their profiles to include their server nics, timezone and normally available times for play. Players who do not have this information entered risk a forfeit loss in the event of an unplayed match.

You do NOT need to contact your opponents with your scheduling details once they are entered in your profile. This information will be displayed when your opponent accesses the scheduling form.

As general guidelines, a player should contact his opponent within the first 2 days of each round. Players who do not schedule in the first half of the round, or fail to turn up for a scheduled match risk a forfeit loss.

Please use the confirmation buttons on the scheduling form to indicate whether you are expecting a reply from your opponent.

If at all possible do not schedule less than 24 hours before the time you wish to play. Your opponent needs time to answer emails and respond. You cannot reasonably expect an opponent to be present if you schedule a match a few hours ahead.

While you are free to catch opponents in the lobby or arrange matches by contact through Messenger, such informal arrangements can not be considered in the event of a forfeit and your opponent is under no obligation to accept such invitations even if he is free. Please confirm all arrangements via the scheduling form.

Players do not need to apply for forfeits, they will be granted automatically at the end of each round.
